Privacy policy

This privacy policy sets out how I, Roz Morris, use and protect any information you give me when you use my websites or my services.

I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. If I ask you to provide information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement and only for the purpose you gave it.

The following information may be collected: name and contact information including email address, information relevant to customer surveys and offers, information relevant to courses, workshop or retreat attendance, information relevant to the carrying out of my editorial services.

For clients of my editorial services

If you have used my editorial, manuscript, coaching or consultancy services, or attended a live course or workshop, I may keep data such as phone numbers, email and postal addresses, background information about the manuscript you’re submitting and reports and correspondence.

This data will be kept private. I do not share your information with any third parties. I keep all correspondence and reports so that we have a full trail of the progress of a project and to help me advise you in as complete a way as possible. All materials are confidential and will not be shown to or discussed with third parties unless you wish me to. See also consultancy terms and conditions for a statement about copyright.

Information gathered is to understand your needs and provide you with a better service and in particular for the following reasons:

·        Internal record keeping

·        I may use the information (from surveys and feedback, for instance) to improve and develop my products and services

·        I may contact you by email for market research purposes (for example a survey) and use the information to improve services according to your interests.

I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure and will never give away or sell your details to a third party. I will take suitable steps to safeguard the information I collect.

Information from Paypal such as invoices and receipts are kept for the length of time required by the HMRC, (currently 6 years from the end of the last financial year to which they relate, or longer if they show a transaction that covers more than one accounting period).

Newsletter:

Your subscription to my newsletter is by opt-in and the information you give is used only to send the newsletter. Your details are collected and stored by a third party delivery platform: this is Mailchimp and there will be a link in any email or newsletter which you can click at any time should you wish to unsubscribe. Alternatively if you wish to be deleted from the mailing list, contact me and I will be happy to do so. I will not sell or give your information to any third parties.

Controlling your personal information

You may request details of personal information which I hold about you. If you believe any information I am holding is incorrect or incomplete, please write or email me and I will promptly correct any incomplete or incorrect information. If you wish email or other content to be deleted please let me know.

My website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave my site, you should note I do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you provide while visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive.
